a family-run resort forms the foundation of idm hospitality management
Across from the bay, on Ephraim’s main street, Eagle Harbor Inn’s year-round Inn rooms and whirlpool suites provide the perfect balance of charm and luxury resort amenities. In 1994, Nedd and Natalie Neddersen purchased Eagle Harbor Inn after returning to Wisconsin from Kona, Hawaii where they had been working in big resort hotels while raising their two young daughters. While life in Hawaii was picturesque, they couldn’t quite shake the feeling that they wanted to return to their home state to be closer to family. With their purchase, Nedd and Natalie became the latest in a string of Ephraim innkeepers to welcome guests to idyllic Door County.
Eagle Harbor Inn also has the distinction of catalyzing the formation of IDM Hospitality Management. The Neddersens developed the nine-room in into a village of eight buildings holding luxury suites. The units were sold as hotel condominiums to individual investors and the resort is wholly operated by IDM.
