Hotel Vandivort, Springfield, Missouri, developed and managed by IDM Hospitality, was named Boutique Hotel of the Year by the Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association at their annual gala and Leadership Symposium on October 25th, 2016 in Beverly Hills, California. The award comes just months after the hotel celebrated our one-year anniversary as Springfield’s vibrant, independent hot-spot and catalyst for the continued rejuvenation of the city center.
The BLLA is a global association that was created in 2009 to serve as a voice and resource for independent hotels around the world. This year Craig Neddersen, President of IDM, Sean Skellie, Vice President of IDM, John & Karen McQueary, Owners of Hotel Vandivort, and James Roberts, General Manager of Hotel Vandivort, attended the BLLA’s 5th annual symposium, the full details of which have been reported on by Hospitality Net here.
“This extraordinary award recognizes the bold, creative and visionary team who forged this stunningly gorgeous property and the like-minded professionals who have given it life and embody a culture of genuine hospitality for both our well-traveled guests and energized locals alike,” said IDM president, Craig Neddersen. “The McQueary family came to us with a clear vision for the dynamic design style and enlightened atmosphere the Springfield city center lacked and we greatly respect their resilience as they stayed true to this vision throughout a long and arduous journey.”
In addition, Hotel Vandivort’s General Manager, JP Roberts, recently received additional accolades, being named one of 33 General Managers to watch according to Hotel Management Magazine. His full feature can be found on the Hotel Management website, here.
