(May, 20th, 2014) – IDM Hospitality Management, a hotel management and development firm headquartered in Madison, Wis. and with properties around the Midwest, announced its Heart of Hospitality award winners for each of its hotels. The winners include: Megan Monaghan, front desk associate, Black Bear Lodge, St. Germain, Wisconsin; Malyssa Hoffmaster, housekeeping supervisor, Ramada Janesville, Janesville, Wisconsin; Nic Signer, banquet server, Hotel Julien Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa; Ryan Epp, public attendant, HotelRED, Madison, Wisconsin; Candi Westlund, housekeeping supervisor, Jefferson Street Inn, Wausau, Wisconsin; Amber Crawford-Taylor, night auditor, Hotel Marshfield, Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Heart of Hospitality award recipients are nominated by fellow employees for this honor, which recognizes those individuals who represent the definition of true hospitality by celebrating the vitality of the operation, displaying compassion, and delivering on the high standards guests expect and deserve. An executive committee at each IDM-managed property then selects the winner from amongst the nominees. Winners receive a cash award presented at a luncheon in their honor. The Heart of Hospitality awards are given each year in the spring and fall.

In making the announcement, Becky Rogers, IDM director of operations, noted that, while the nomination comes from fellow employees, very often guests have already made a point to let hotel management know what a fine job the employee is doing. “This is what makes this award so meaningful, knowing that at its heart are the kind endorsements of guests and co-workers,” said Rogers.
